Lava

About 33 miles from Kalimpong, Lava is a little hamlet village surrounded by pine trees and sometimes shrouded in mist and fog. It is located 2,350 meters above sea level. The hamlet is home to a Nature Interpretation Center and a stunning monastery with Bhutanese origins. It is well known for its bird viewing opportunities and is a favorite spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
